Ranked Pre-Season #11, ‘Canes Softball Plans for Big 2023 Season

The Louisburg College Softball team is excited for their 2023 spring season to begin. Ranked pre-season #11 nationally with one remaining ‘22 All-American player and the 2022 Regional and District Championships under their belts, the ‘Canes are a force with which to be reckoned.

Laptop Awarded to Louisburg College Student

On Monday, January 30, Sophomore Joshua Aaron, '23, was awarded a new laptop after being randomly chosen for the generous gift. At the recommendation of the faculty, six deserving students were selected and entered into a drawing, with Aaron being the lucky recipient of a Lenovo laptop.

Thursday, February 2, 2023 marked the official opening of the “We Built This: Profiles of Black Architects & Builders” exhibit in the JPAC’s Holt Lobby. Presented by Preservation North Carolina, it will be available for viewing the entire month of February in celebration of Black History Month. The exhibit showcases the history and legacy of Black builders in North Carolina.

Louisburg Alumni Wins Historian of the Year

James E. White, III, Class of ‘69, was recently named Historian of the Year by the North Carolina Society of Historians during their annual banquet held in Spencer, NC.

Erica Parsons Butler's "I Can't Quit My People" gallery opening was a night filled with art, inspiration, and warmth. Many students and community members came to view her works which she affectionately calls "Parsons' People."
