Louisburg College Softball Ranked 8 in NJCAA DII Rankings

Louisburg College Softball continues their winning streak with 18 wins in a row! 

On Saturday, March 11, against Bryant & Stratton College, the 'Canes hit eight home runs during the doubleheader - Brianna Tucker (4), Kennedy Byrd (2), Edi Austin, and Kasey Lee.
 
"I'm proud of our team for coming out and playing with a great deal of purpose and passion on Saturday," said Louisburg coach Eric Lee. "We did a lot of things really well and won all three phases of the game."

On Tuesday, March 14, against the University of Rio Grande and Mohawk Valley Community College, the team blasted five home runs - Kennedy Byrd, Edi Austin, Averie Ottaly (2), and Dessa Houston.
 
To finish their road trip, they swept Southeastern Community College by a combined score of 27-2, Wednesday, March 15.
 
The team is currently ranked #8 nationally among NJCAA Division II teams and Bri Tucker was named this week's NJCAA Player of the Week. Congratulations Bri!
 
The 'Canes next home game is Friday, March 17, at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. against Fayetteville Technical Community College.
