Pete Borsay holds a MFA in Studio Art from East Carolina University.

Before joining Louisburg College, Borsay taught art and design studio courses at ECU's College of Fine Arts and Communication. Beyond the classroom, he held leadership roles as the chair of the First Year Curriculum Committee and coordinator of all first-year studio art courses.

As a professional printmaker, he maintains a private studio where he produces unique fine art prints. His work has been recognized in both local and international exhibitions. He also remains active in the local arts community through participation in regional arts programs and organizations.

At Louisburg College, Borsay teaches Art Appreciation and both 2D and 3D studio courses. His curriculum covers a vast range of materials and techniques, including: Art & design fundamentals, drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, design, sculpture, modeling, and hand-building.

His goal is to foster an environment where imagination and curiosity are the primary tools for exploration. By focusing on the hands-on creative process – planning, making, and recording – he helps students bridge the gap between abstract ideas and finished artifacts.
