Associate of Science in Environmental Science

Environmental Science studies the areas of life, physical and earth science that address environmental issues.  This program examines the issues facing the environment to create science-based resolutions.  This program focuses on understanding and resolving issues by examining the interaction of physical, chemical, and biological factors in the environment, and assessing the impact on organisms, including humans.  

The Job Outlook for Environmental Science majors in the United States of America is 6% growth between now and 2032. This percentage is faster than the national average of 3%. Students who are interested in Environmental Science are advised to transfer into Agricultural Science, Forensic Science, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, or Food Science programs when they complete their degree at Louisburg College. Graduation requirements include a minimum of 60 semester hours and at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA.
