Computers and Campus E-mail

All students have a Louisburg College e-mail account. This address can be found on your housing assignment letter. All electronic communication from Louisburg College will be sent to this address, and you are responsible for checking this account on a regular basis. We recommend that you distribute this address to your family and friends prior to arriving at Louisburg so that they can communicate with you.

Since Louisburg College requires a secure and safe network environment, each student computer will be certified via the network, and access will be allowed only after successful certification. Instructions for the certification will be available at check-in. Students are reminded that the network is owned by Louisburg College and may be administered in any way the college deems appropriate. Additionally, routers are not allowed on the college's network.

In order to connect to Louisburg College's network, your PC or laptop must meet the following minimum requirements:

Windows XP installed
256 MD ram (minimum)
Ethernet Adapter with Cat 5 Ethernet patch cord

Wright Residence Hall Only:
Since Wright is not hard-wired to the network, PCs and laptops will need a modem installed for dial-up access. There is not an additional fee for this access.
