As the #2 seed the 'Canes took on the tournament host #3 ICC in their gym. ICC took a four point lead going into the break but the second half was all LC as they even had a pair of 11 point leads. The game came down to the final minute and a half as the Cougars tied things up but strong rebounding and ball control led to the final four points, all scored by Louisburg.

Guard Olivia Gaines (Chester, SC, Chester HS) was all over the court as she led all scorers with a 22 point effort. Gaines shot 8-15 from the field, including 2-2 from beyond the arc. Tiffany Johnson (Philadelphia, PA/Prep Charter) and Jazmine Parker (Burlington, NC/Oak Ridge Military) also scored in double-digits as they each chipped in with 15. Johnson also led the 'Canes on the glass as she swiped seven rebounds.

Louisburg will take on the winner of #1 Mesa CC (Arizona) and #4 St. Clair County CC (Michigan) who play late Friday. The championship game will take place tomorrow at 8:30 pm local time.
