The Canes won their final 23 matches of the season, culminating in an overtime victory over Tyler Community College in the national championship game. Louisburg won the NJCAA Region X title, and was ranked #1 in the nation for the final six weeks of the season.

Blackmore, a sophomore from Guilford, England, led all NJCAA goal scorers nationally with 35 on the season. He scored the winning goal in overtime of the national championship game. Blackmore was named NJCAA Region X Player of the Year, as well as earning first-team All-America honors from both the NJCAA and NSCAA.
