Louisburg College’s newly transformed fitness center, Eye Fitness, opened Friday with new weightlifting equipment and new technology, new flooring and fresh paint.
Former Louisburg College Trustee Clyde Harris donated the equipment, and the facilities crew, led by Vice President of Facilities Nathan Biegenzahn, designed and renovated the room in the Jordan Student Center.
The new center, which for years was home to a snack shop, now houses leg presses, cable machines, pull-up bars, a resting area and charging station for phones. The clock can be programmed remotely for interval workouts. There’s a fan and a water bottle-filling station.
As soon as a card reader can be installed, Eye Fitness will be open 24 hours a day.
