9:00 AM - Graduates' Breakfast in Dining Center
The breakfast is for graduates only. Please dress in nice casual clothes, shirts with collars; please do not wear t-shirts or jeans.
Induction into Louisburg College Alumni Association
10:30 AM - Practice for Graduation and Class Picture
Practice will begin immediately after breakfast for graduates only. Meet in front of Main Building.
Issuing of caps, gowns, and PTK stoles will take place in the auditorium.
Class picture will take place in front of auditorium entrance.
LUNCH ON YOUR OWN
3:00 PM - Baccalaureate Service at Louisburg United Methodist Church
It is important to be on time.Graduates are to attend in their caps and gowns. Graduates are to sit in the reserved seating section. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
4:00 PM - Graduation Line-up
Arrive at the steps of Main Building wearing caps and gowns.
(In case of rain, meet in the Lumpkin Gallery located in the auditorium)
5:00 PM - COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY
The graduation ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 PM in the Seby B. Jones Performing Arts Center (JPAC). All friends and family are welcome to attend. No tickets are required.
There will be a reception for graduates, family, faculty, staff, and guests in auditorium galleries following the Commencement Ceremony.
Women: Black dress shoes
(Shoes should be comfortable - you will be walking across campus and going up and down steps.)
Men: Dress clothes with tie and black shoes. Remember to remove your mortarboards (caps) during the Baccalaureate and Commencement Ceremony.
Graduation fee is $70.00 and should be paid in the Business Office. Checks should be payable to Louisburg College. Visa or MasterCard may be used. Payment may be made by phone by calling (919) 497-3262 or (919) 497-3208, or online at https://www.louisburg.edu/jcart-1.3/grad.php. Please remit payment by Friday, April 26th.
Requests for final transcripts should be made in the Registrar's Office before you leave the campus. There is no charge for the first copy of a student's transcript. After the first copy, there is a $10.00 fee.
Copies of transcripts cannot be released without the student's signature, and until all accounts are clear.
CAPS AND GOWNS
Graduates will pick-up caps and gowns on Friday, May 3 in the auditorium immediately following the practice session. Please hang gowns to allow wrinkles to fall out. You may keep your cap, gowns and tassels following the ceremony.
