College Labyrinth Dedicated

The new Louisburg College Labyrinth was dedicated October 29, 2011, as part of the Homecoming festivities. Speakers included President Mark La Branche, local pastor Larry Williams, and Professor Will Hinton, who designed and built the labyrinth.

The project was made possible by a generous gift from the College's Golden Anniversary Club. Additional funding and gifts-in-kind were given by faculty, staff, and friends of the College.

A labyrinth is an ancient spiritual tool which offers each person a contemplative walking meditation. All participants are given a quiet opportunity to move from the realm of achievement to the realm of acceptance.

In the words of St. Augustine:
SOLVITUR AMBULANDO,
"It is solved by walking."
