2011-2012 Hurricane Men's Golf Outlook

During the 2010-11 year, the Louisburg College A and B squads earned 107 wins, 69 losses, and 3 ties.  That team ended last season in second place in the Region X Championship. 

The Fall 2011 returning golfers include Kevin Cook (VA), Juan Fernandez (Panama), Charlois Fletcher (NC), Julio Gonzalez (Mexico), and Seth Nagle (MD).  New golfers include Sean Brown (OH), Tim DeBarge (NC), Troy Miller (VA), Ty Niday (NC), and Dillon Powell (GA).
The current Hurricanes schedule includes tournaments in Williamsburg (VA), Myrtle Beach (SC), with in-state rounds in Bunn, Camp Lejeune, Clayton, Elkin, Lasker, Louisburg, New Bern, and Smithfield.

Louisburg begins its fall season with the Century Link Collegiate Invitational September 19-20 at Lane Tree Golf Club in Goldsboro, NC.  The Fall schedule is punctuated with the 2011 Region X Fall Championship at Cedarbrook Golf Club in Elkin, North Carolina.

Coach Charles Sloan has this to say about the upcoming season, "The team has an even mixture of new and returning golfers that should provide for some close, nail-biting tournament finishes."
