Scholarship Opportunities

Merit Scholarships:

This award is based on academic performance in high school. Merit scholarships are renewable in the second year provided that the recipient maintains an equivalent grade point average.

  • $2000 Great Futures Scholarship (no longer called Leadership)
    This scholarship is renewable for a second year if you maintain a grade point average of 2.2 or higher. This scholarship will be added to any financial aid for which you may qualify.

  • $3400 Faculty Scholarship
    This scholarship is renewable for a second year if you maintain a grade point average of 2.4 or higher. This scholarship will be added to any financial aid for which you may qualify.

  • $5500 Trustee Scholarship
    This scholarship is renewable for a second year if you maintain a grade point average of 2.65 or higher. This scholarship will be added to any financial aid for which you may qualify.

  • $7600 Presidential Scholarship
    This scholarship is renewable for a second year if you maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. This scholarship will be added to any financial aid for which you may qualify.


$1,000 Robbins Methodist Student Grant:

This grant is available to Methodist students who have at least a GPA of a 2.0. A recommendation from your home church pastor is also required.


Franklin County Tuition Grant:

All Franklin County, North Carolina, residents with financial need, who enroll at Louisburg College as full-time students, receive this grant.


To apply for all types of financial aid:

  • Please complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  • This form is available each January 15th. Go to www.studentaid.ed.gov for information about Federal Student Aid, applying to college, and other tools and resources.
  • FAFSA - go online to www.fafsa.gov to apply.
