Scholarship Opportunities

Merit Scholarships:

This award is based on academic performance in high school. Merit scholarships are renewable in the second year provided that the recipient maintains an equivalent grade point average.

  • $3500 Great Futures Scholarship
    This scholarship is renewable for a second year if you maintain a grade point average of 2.2 or higher. This scholarship will be added to any financial aid for which you may qualify.

  • $4200 Faculty Scholarship
    To earn this scholarship you must have earned a 2.65 or higher GPA in High School with an acceptable SAT or ACT score.. This scholarship is renewable for a second year if you maintain a grade point average of 2.4 or higher.

  • $6000 Trustee Scholarship
    To earn this scholarship you must have earned a 2.90 or higher GPA in High School with an acceptable SAT or ACT score.. This scholarship is renewable for a second year if you maintain a grade point average of 2.65 or higher.

  • $8300 Presidential Scholarship
    To earn this scholarship you must have earned a 3.15 or higher GPA in High School with an acceptable SAT or ACT score.. This scholarship is renewable for a second year if you maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.


Franklin, Nash, Wake County Scholarships $2,000

We welcome our local students from contiguous counties to apply for this special scholarship. All students who reside in a county listed above with financial need will receive this special county scholarship.


Warren, Vance, Granville County Scholarships $1,000

We welcome our local students from contiguous counties to apply for this special scholarship. All students who reside in a county listed above with financial need will receive this special county scholarship.


Athletic Scholarships

Louisburg College offers several athletic scholarships. Please contact the coach for more information.


STEM scholarship

We want to offer a special scholarship to those students that will be pursuing an Associates in Science in General Science, have 2 lab sciences (biology, chemistry, physics) and 4 maths (Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2 and Advanced Functions and Modeling or Pre-Calculus).


Future Hispanic Leaders $2,000

The Future Hispanic Leaders scholarship is offered to Hispanic students.


$1,000 Robbins Methodist Student Grant

This grant is available to Methodist students who have at least a GPA of a 2.0. A recommendation from your home church pastor is also required.


Legacy Scholarship $1,000

The Legacy scholarship is for those students who have a parent or grandparent that is a Louisburg College Alumnus.


Honors Program $500 - $1,000

The honors program is a merit award for those students who are selected to participate in the Louisburg College honors program.


Franklin County Tuition Grant

All Franklin County, North Carolina, residents with financial need, who enroll at Louisburg College as full-time students, receive this grant.


* Scholarships are awarded to full time students of Louisburg College and limited funding is available.


Outside-Funded Scholarships and Resources:

Be creative in your search for grants and scholarships. Use the Internet, the library, and your college's financial aid office. Find out if a parent's employer or labor union offers scholarships.
