Scholarship Opportunities
Merit Scholarships:
This award is based on academic performance in high school. Merit scholarships are renewable in the second year provided that the recipient maintains an equivalent grade point average.
  • $1000 Leadership Scholarship: GPA=2.75, SAT=950, One leadership service
  • $2000 Faculty Scholarship: GPA=3.0, SAT=1000
  • $4000 Trustee Scholarship: GPA=3.25, SAT=1100
  • $6000 Presidential Scholarship: GPA=3.5, SAT=1200


North Carolina Legislative Tuition Grant:
This state grant is approximately $1,950 for the academic year. Available to ALL North Carolina residents who attend a North Carolina private college full time.

$1,000 Robbins Methodist Student Grant:
This grant is available to Methodist students who have at least a GPA of a 2.0 and an SAT score of 850. A recommendation from your home church pastor is also required.

Franklin County Tuition Grant:
All Franklin County, North Carolina, residents with financial need, who enroll at Louisburg College as full-time students, receive a grant totaling 25 percent of the tuition costs.

Commuter Grant:
Non-Franklin County, North Carolina residents who possess financial need and enroll at Louisburg College as a full-time student receive this grant.

To apply for all types of financial aid:

  • Please complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  • This form is available each January. Go to www.studentaid.ed.gov for information about Federal Student
    Aid, applying to college, and other tools and resources.
  • FAFSA - go online to www.fafsa.ed.gov to apply.

  • Louisburg offers scholarships, grants, loans and student employment opportunities
  • NC residents receive the NC legislative tuition grant in the amount of $1,950
  • Merit scholarships are awarded for academic excellence
  • Apply for Financial Aid by the March 1 priority deadline
