OFFICE OF FINANCIAL AID
Dear Prospective Student and Family,
Thank you for your interest in Louisburg College. This is a very exciting time for you and we are glad you are considering Louisburg in this very important decision. There are some important steps detailed in this guide to assist you with your planning and decision-making processes.
If you've not already done so, go online to www.fafsa.gov and complete your free application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to begin the financial aid process. It is important that you and your parent obtain PIN numbers at www.pin.ed.gov for electronically signing your FAFSA. This is the quickest way to get the financial aid processes started. If you list Louisburg College, School Code 002943, as one of your college choices, the college will automatically be notified of the results. Please keep your PIN as you will need this to complete the FAFSA in subsequent years.
Our office will either notify you of your award package or request additional information to continue processing your file. It is imperative that you review any and all information sent to you by the financial aid office and comply with any requests. Applying for financial aid can be a daunting process; however, our office is committed to providing you with excellent customer service. The staff is eager to assist you with questions, to address any concerns and to offer you guidance while you navigate through the financial aid process.
Once the results are received and the information processed, the Office of Financial Aid at Louisburg College will be able to assist you with a wide array of federal grants, institution and state scholarships, federal work-study and federal and private loan opportunities. In addition, we participate in all of the State of North Carolina programs for private institutions. For your convenience, these programs are listed on the following pages.
Thank you again for your interest in Louisburg College. The Financial Aid Office welcomes an opportunity to serve and assist you in obtaining your higher education goals. Please do not hesitate to contact the office with any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Vickie Fleming
Director of Financial Aid
