Commencement Day Schedule

9:00 AM - Graduates' Breakfast in Dining Center
This breakfast is for graduates only. Graduates should dress in business casual attire; please do not wear t-shirts or jeans as you will be taking your class picture immediately following breakfast. Graduates will be inducted into the Louisburg College Alumni Association during the graduation breakfast.

10:00 AM - Issuance of caps, gowns, and PTK stoles in the Jorden Student Center

10:30 AM - Class picture on the steps of the Main Building with cap and gown attire worn

11:00 AM - Rehearsal for Graduation
Rehearsal will begin immediately in front of the Main Building after the issuance of caps and gowns. (In case of rain, meet in the Lumpkin Gallery located in the auditorium)

LUNCH ON YOUR OWN

3:00 PM - Baccalaureate Service at Louisburg United Methodist Church, 402 N Main St, Louisburg, NC 27549. The speaker will be Rev. David Melton, senior pastor of West Market Street United Methodist Church in Greensboro. It is important to be on time. Graduates are to attend wearing their caps and gowns and sit in the reserved seating section. Family and friends are welcome to attend.

4:00 PM - Graduation Line-up
Graduates must arrive at the steps of the Main Building wearing caps and gowns. (In case of rain, meet in the Lumpkin Gallery located in the auditorium) Family and friends should make their way to the Seby Jones Performing Arts Center in preparation for the commencement ceremony.

5:00 PM - Commencement Ceremony
The graduation ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 PM in the Frances Boyette Dickson Auditorium located in the Seby B. Jones Performing Arts Center. The featured speaker will be Randy Bridges '75, experienced school superintendent and alumnus of Louisburg College. All friends and family are welcomed to attend. No tickets are required.This event is open to the public.

Graduation Reception - There will be a reception for graduates, family, faculty, staff, and guests in the auditorium galleries following the Commencement Ceremony.

PREFERRED DRESS

Women: Black dress shoes, shoes should be comfortable - you will be walking across campus and going up and down steps.

Men: Dress clothes with tie and black shoes. Remember to remove your mortarboards (caps) during the Baccalaureate and Commencement Ceremony.

GRADUATION FEE

Graduation fee is $70.00 and should be paid to the Financial Services Office. Checks should be payable to Louisburg College. Visa or MasterCard may be used. Payment may be made by phone by calling (919) 497-3262, (919) 497-3208, (919) 497-3230, or (919) 497-3229. Please remit payment by April 15, 2014.

TRANSCRIPTS

Requests for final transcripts should be submitted to the Registrar's Office. Transcript request forms can be located on the Louisburg College website, under the Academics Tab, by choosing the word Registrar. There is no charge for the first copy of a student's transcript. After the first copy, there is a $10.00 fee. Transcripts cannot be released without the student's signature, and until all accounts are clear. Please allow two weeks from the graduation date for processing.
